Hurricane season

As many of you are well aware with the news filling up with Hurricane Florence reports, peak hurricane season is in full force! Hurricane What does this mean for your travel plans? We are here to help guide you through the turbulence of changed or canceled vacations due to hurricanes.

First of all, before setting off on your well deserved vacation, be sure to check with your airline to make sure flights are still departing as usual. If there is an advisory, you can often re-book your flights on the airlines website at no extra charge. Or, if you were smart and booked with an agent, then that is what we are here to do for you and save you all of your valuable time.

If you are in destination and get storm stuck, there are some measures you can do to prepare if you are unable to move more inland away from the storm. We always advise our clients to purchase travel insurance which can often help cover costs when you have delays due to forces of nature. Ask us about what plan would be best for you! Your travel is an investment and it needs to be protected.  Also, www.visitflorida.com has some great info on how to prepare and stay safe during a hurricane.  Preparing some snacks, water and a basic travel emergency kit can go a long way.
